Description

Find and draw the fastest route! Alternate Routes is a very casual racing game, with no predefined tracks: it is up to you to figure out and create the fastest path that crosses all the gates in each level. You can draw as slowly as you want; only the trajectory matters. Will you achieve the right balance between covering less distance and avoiding sharp turns that slow you down?

History

The game mechanics from Alternate Routes were initially prototyped in 2011, as part of an RPG project that didn't get developed further: racing was supposed to be one of the ways to earn currency. It's only in 2014, while looking for something original to create, that the idea of drawing trajectories came back, and ultimately became a full-fledged game.

Features

  • 10 sets of levels with different types of gates.
  • Upgrades and ghosts to help casual players get all the medals.
  • Expert mode, developer's times to beat, and leaderboards for the more competitive players.
  • Single device multiplayer mode to compete face to face with your friends.
